Activation
The Power That Lives Within
When you think of Activation, what comes up for you? is it squeezing a muscle? is it flicking a switch? is it connecting two things together? If it was the third, then you're on the right path.
Activation isn't simply the ability to squeeze your muscles, it isn't simply flicking a switch on or off in your body, however although those are apart of activation, the main thing is the ability to connect two things together. What are these two things you ask? Your mind, and your muscles.
We don't think about it often, however over time, we can either lose or gain connection to certain pathways and parts of our bodies by the lack of or the applied focus to the muscles in our bodies. This can be done both consciously, or unconsciously, more on that in another lesson, however if done unconsciously most of the time peoples lose more connection overtime rather than gain more connection overtime. Activation relies on certain variables to happen in an optimal way, and what are these variables you may think?
These 3 variables are the most important factor/requirements for activation.
So how do we start to bring repair to our bodies, clean the tracks of the railroad so our energies flow unobstructed. This is where knowing how to apply the true knowledge and techniques of yoga, release, movement, pressure, meditation, and pain management come in. You see these subjects are foundational to the health and ability of the human body. Knowing the right perspective and application of those techniques amongst others will vastly improve your base form. As you follow along this guide, you will be taught the proper framing and approach when utilizing these techniques to help build the best foundation out to its fullest potential. however it all starts with simple awareness.
