Breathing
The Key to Vitality and Strength
Breathing... simple, easy, basic to life. The very foundation. Get this wrong and you'll struggle, get this right and you'll be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams. Not what am i talking about, and why do i give such a basic function so much high regard?Well it's precisely that question that tells me that you have not yet experienced the fruits of mastery over such a simple foundational function.
Now if breathing is such a beneficial boon once understood and it's one of the basic things we all do with our body, what else is there that we've gone so long without recognizing the true potential of, unaware of how great our basic functions are. But i say that just to get your mind prepped for how amazing and mind blowing the truth of the body is.
Right now more than ever before people are searching for ways to decrease their stress, the answers to staying calm in troubling situations. and even just plain breathe better and deeper because they're so restricted out take shallow breaths. Not knowing the key to relief is right there within them, they search for gadgets and accessories that'll help improve their condition. However they don't address the root cause of the issue. Not only that but they only tickle the leaves with no understanding of the tree and it's branches or growth patterns and structure.
This is how deep yet simple everything boils down to. Without a strong frame the house collapses upon itself. So not only if you slouch, or train your muscles in s certain way, you will feel how hard it is to breathe deep and the wall against which the lungs hit. From the relaxed point of which you relesed all your breath, up until the pint you hit that wall when you inhale, is your base breathe rate point, which is measured in time and relaxation. Meaning the shorter that space is, not only the more tired easily you become and recovery is less, however, since motion creates emotion, even on the physiological level, shorter breaths mean your body puts itself in a state of stress, which aligns with certain emotions, such as anxiety, fear, anger, all the emotions tied with shortness of breath, even if not a certain reality, is called to your body becuase of the limits of your breath.
This is how even unconsciously your aibility to breath effects the body, emotions, and physiological state. Even right now, there are those who are unaware of their breath on a regular basis until they are made to be aware of it, So the normalcy of society is at a level of people who aren't even aware of their breathing let alone how short it is and how it's quietly affecting their daily lives in the background, from lower patience, to short bursts of anger, to being quick to fear, jumpy, reactive. All of these things scream a society of people who are on edge because they can't breathe. They don't have space to breathe, within nor without. However once you learn to create that space within, you will see a new level of possibility and experience the vitality of breath like you never have before.
So if shortness of breath leads to such negative effects then the opposite must be true. When you're frustrated or flustered, when you find yourself thrown into chaos or disarray, the first thing and most grounding thing that we reach for is breath... to breathe. To breathe deeply is to be able to be in control and keep control. To relax, to calm, to soothe, to solve. THings works better, you think clearer, you gain focus and clarity when you're able to take a moment to breathe and your base ability to breathe deeply depends on your base stuructures integrity and strength, now that you understand this, i will now guide you through practicing feeling your breath, expandng your limits, and applying breath in the way that vitalizes your body. With this base understanding and applied practice the techniques will start to make more sense as you follow allong. Now onto the practice.
